VERITAS INSIGHT

Daniel Watts’ Veritas brings Biond to Australia

Watts said he knew straight away that this was “something true to my heart” which will have a major effect on the print industry.

“I’m very passionate about the environment and sustainability, and I’m also very, very aware of ambit claims about sustainability,” said Watts.

“Biond drew my attention because instead of being made from PVC or oil-based plastics – it’s actually made from sugarcane. It’s quite remarkable. I’ve spent a lot of time working with C-Suite, boards and ESG teams and discussing the challenges they are facing on mandatory reporting and stakeholder pressures. These days, a lot of the larger companies are focusing on their ESG requirements, and it’s important to do this – but the actions you take need to be verifiable.”
